Jean Michele Basquiat

The third grade students have been learning about and viewing the work of Jean Michele Basquiat in art class. The following two videos were shown during the introduction of the lesson.

The third graders spent their art class Studio Time working with oil pastels on colored paper. The lines they created were very loose and expressive. 

Can you create an artwork in the style of Basquiat? 

Maybe you add some text or numbers to your work? A crown? Bones or skulls? 

Can you draw a self portrait in Basquiat's style?

Experiment and have fun!

REPOST! Kaleidoscope Name Designs

Grade four students are currently creating "Kaleidoscope Name Designs" in art class. As part of the demonstration, I have been showing them clips of a step by step video I created during our remote learning.
